But no one says, Where is God, my Maker, who gives songs in the night,

A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment; to You O Jehovah, I will sing praise.

I will bless You every day; and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

Praise Jah! for it is good to sing praise to our God, because praise is delightful and becoming.

Jehovah will command His lovingkindness by day, and His song shall be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life.

My mouth shall recount Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know the numbers.

In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; my hand spread out in the night and did not grow benumbed; my soul refused to be comforted.

In turning my enemies to turn back, they will stumble and perish before You.

I will mention the mercies of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has benefited us, and the great good to the house of Israel, by which He benefited them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving-kindness.

For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

And about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praise to God, and the prisoners listened to them.
