To the chief musician. A Contemplation for the Sons of Korah. We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have recounted to us the work You worked in their days, in the days of old.
Jehovah, I have heard Your report; I am afraid, Jehovah. As to Your work, give it life; in the midst of years, in the midst of years make known; in anger remember compassion.
And your infants, of whom you said, They are a prey, and your sons who today have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there, and I will give it to them, and they shall possess it.
And, behold! Today I am going in the way of all the earth, and you know with all your heart and with all your soul that there has not failed one thing of all the good things which Jehovah your God has spoken concerning you; all of it has come to you; there has not one thing failed of it.
