You have spurned from the covenant of Your servant; You have defiled his crown on the ground.
The crown has fallen from our head. Woe now to us, for we have sinned!
They have cast fire in Your sanctuary; they have polluted the place where Your name dwells on the earth.
Jesus answered and said to him, What I am doing, you do not yet know. But you will know after these things.
And I will defile the rulers of the sanctuary, and will give Jacob to destruction, and Israel to revilings.
And He shall bow down the fortress of the height of your walls; He will lay low, strike down to the earth, even to the dust.
For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness like those who died of old.
I said in my alarm, All men are liars.
You have made his brightness to cease and have hurled his throne to the ground.
And I said, This is my sickness, the years of the right hand of the Most High;
You make us turn back from the adversary; yea, the ones hating us plunder for themselves.
You have made Your people see hardship; You made us drink the wine of trembling.
