You made them eat with the bread of tears; yea, You made them drink with tears a third time.
My soul refuses to touch them; they are sickening food to me.
For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mingled my drink with weeping,
My tears have been my food by day and by night, while they say to me all the day, Where is your God?
A Lesson, of Asaph. O God, have You cast us off forever; will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
Until when, O Jehovah? Will You be angry with us forever? Shall Your jealousy burn like fire?
And the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of oppression; but your teachers shall not be hidden any more; but your eyes shall be able to see your teachers.
You have wrapped Yourself with anger and pursued us; You have slain; You have not pitied.
You have covered Yourself with a cloud, from any prayer passing through.
