I will open my mouth in a parable; I will pour forth dark sayings of old,

I will stretch out my ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying on the harp.

Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my supplanting ones encompass me

to understand a proverb and an enigma; the words of the wise ones, and their riddles.

Remember former things from forever, for I am God, and there is not any God besides, even not one like Me,

But He did not speak to them without a parable. And He explained all things to His disciples privately.

And Jehovah rooted them out of their land in anger and wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
