I am weary from my crying, my throat is burnt; my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

But the eyes of the wicked ones shall be consumed, and escape shall perish from them; and their hope shall be like the breathing out of the soul.

My face is reddened from weeping; and the shadow of death is on my eyelids,

My eyes are wearied for Your salvation, and for the Word of Your righteousness.

My eyes are used up for Your Word, saying, When will You comfort me?

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue clings to My jaws, and You appoint Me to the dust of death

O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; and in the night, and there is no silence to Me.

And now what do I await, Lord? My hope is in You.

And He put a new song of praise to our God in my mouth; many shall see and shall fear and shall trust in Jehovah.

They also gave Me gall in My food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.

Your fury has lain hard upon me, and You afflict me with all Your waves. Selah.

Like a swift or a crane, so I chatter. I moan as the dove; my eyes look weakly to the heights, O Jehovah; it presses me down; be surety for me!

And my eyes are at an end with tears, my bowels ferment; my liver is poured on the ground for the ruin of the daughter of my people, in the fainting of children and sucklings in the broad places of the city.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things have now been finished that the Scripture be fulfilled, He says, I thirst.

Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people; and your eyes shall look and fail for them all the day. And no power will be in your hand.

who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to the One being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;
