Pay attention to me, and answer me; I wander and I moan in my complaint,
A Prayer of David. O Jehovah, hear righteousness; listen to my cry; give ear to my prayer, for it is not in lips of deceit.
When I kept silence, then my bones became old, through my howling all day.
I am bent down, I am bowed down even to excess; I have gone darkened all the day.
For You are the God of my strength. Why have You cast me off? Why do I go darkened when the enemy oppresses?
To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. O God, hear my voice in my complaint; guard my life from the terror of the enemy.
Surely, God has heard; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
I remember God and am troubled; I meditate and my spirit faints. Selah.
Like a swift or a crane, so I chatter. I moan as the dove; my eyes look weakly to the heights, O Jehovah; it presses me down; be surety for me!
We all of us roar like bears, and moaning we moan like doves. We look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us.
You have heard my voice; do not hide Your ear at my relief, at my cry for help.
