I have waited for your salvation, O Jehovah.

Behold, He will cut me off; I will not wait, but I will reason out my ways before His face.

He comes forth like a flower and withers; he also flees like a shadow and does not stand.

O Jehovah, I have hoped for Your salvation, and have done Your precepts.

KAPH: My soul is being consumed for Your salvation; I hope in Your Word.

For I hope in You, O Jehovah; O Lord my God You will answer.

Their inward thought is that their houses shall last forever, their dwellingplaces to generation and generation; they call their lands after their own names.

When there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with success, yet he shall give it to a man who has not labored with it, for his share; this also is vanity and a great evil.

And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope, in power of the Holy Spirit.
