Surely a man walks about in shadow; surely they are in an uproar in vain; he heaps up and does not know who is gathering them.

For God gives wisdom, and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight. But to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and to heap up, to give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and striving after wind.

who do not know of the morrow. For what is your life? For it is a mist, which for a little is appearing, and then disappearing. Ps. 94:11

and the ones using this world as not overusing it; for the fashion of this world is passing away.

Let us hear the end of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this applies to every man.

I have seen all the works which are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and striving after wind!

A good man makes the sons of his son to inherit, but the wealth of the sinner is treasured up for the righteous one .

Being early to rise is in vain for you, being late to sit up to eat the bread of toils is vain; for so He gives His beloved sleep.

Because “all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of grass; the grass was dried, and its flower fell off,

Your gold and silver have become corroded, and their poison will be a testimony to you, and will eat your flesh as a fire. You heaped treasure in the last days.

for wealth is not forever, nor the crown from generation and generation.

Will your eyes fly on it? And it is not! For making it makes wings for itself; it flies into the heavens like an eagle.

Remember that my life is a breath; my eyes shall not return to see good.

I despise them; I will not live always. Cease from me, for my days are vanity.

Man born of woman is short of days and full of turmoil.

What man lives and never sees death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah.

Man is like to vanity; his days are like a shadow that passes.

And turn aside frustration from your heart, and cause evil purpose to pass from your flesh. For childhood and prime of life are vanity.

Then if you are not able to do even the least, why are you anxious about the rest?
