To the chief musician, A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies; blot out my transgressions.
We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us. For we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God.
And they shall no longer each man teach his companion, and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, a statement of Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousnesses, and I will not at all remember their sins and their lawlessnesses.” LXX-Jer. 38:31-34; MT-Jer. 31:31-34
