cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.
The cords of death encompassed me; and the straits of Sheol found me; I found distress and sorrow;
the waters would have flowed over us; the torrent would have covered our soul;
Hear Me, O Jehovah, for Your mercy is good; in the multitude of Your tender mercies, turn toward Me.
For Your mercy toward me is great; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
For man also does not know his time. As the fish that are caught in the evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the trap, like these are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.
But God raised Him up, loosening the throes of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.
