You will test my heart; You will visit in the night; You will refine me; You will find nothing; my thoughts do not pass my mouth.

And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind. For Jehovah searches out all hearts, and He understands every imagination of thoughts. If you shall seek Him, He shall be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

And I know, my God, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly to You.

But He knows the way with me. When I am tried, I shall come forth as gold.

The murderer rising with the light kills the afflicted and needy ones, and in the night he is a thief.

Jehovah tries the just one, but His soul hates the wicked ones and the one loving violence.

I have sworn and I rise to it, to keep Your righteous judgments.

To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, You have searched me and known me.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts;

I will bless Jehovah, who counseled Me. My reins also teach Me in the nights.

Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; purify my reins and my heart.

To the chief musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will keep my ways from sinning with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked one is before me.

For You, O God, have proved us; You have tested us as silver is refined.

if I have repaid evil to one at peace with me or I have plundered one pressing me without cause,

He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, ruin is to him.

But You know me, O Jehovah. You have seen me and tried my heart toward You. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and consecrate them to the day of slaughter.

In those days, and at that time, a statement of Jehovah, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and it is not; and the sins of Judah, and they will not be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.

For they have brought their heart near like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all night; in the morning it burns like a fire of flame.

Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they do it, because it is in the power of their hand.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. They shall call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, It is My people, and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.

But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will be standing at His appearing? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fuller’s soap.

who having come, and seeing the grace of God, rejoiced. And he exhorted all with purpose of heart to abide near the Lord.

so that the testing of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but being tested through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

See, this day your eyes have seen how Jehovah has delivered you today into my hand in the cave. And one said to kill you, but I had pity on you. And I said, I shall not put out my hand against my lord, for he is the anointed of Jehovah.

Jehovah shall judge between you and me, and Jehovah shall avenge me of you. But my hand shall not be on you.

far be it from me, by Jehovah, from putting forth my hand against the anointed of Jehovah. And now, please take the spear which is at his head-place, and the jar of water, and we will go.

And Jehovah will return to each man his righteousness and his faithfulness, in that Jehovah has delivered you into my hand, and I have not been willing to put forth my hand against the anointed of Jehovah.
