For there our captors asked us the words of a song; yea, our plunderers asked joy, saying, Sing to us a song of Zion.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the master of the song with the singers. David also had an ephod of linen on him.

Then on that day David first gave by the hand of Asaph and his brothers to give thanks to Jehovah.

And he spoke before his brothers and the army of Samaria and said, What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they make an end in a day? Will they bring to life the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

To the chief musician. A Psalm and Song of David. To You silence is praise, O God, in Zion; and to You is a vow paid.

A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the nations have come into Your inheritance; they have defiled Your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

You make us a strife for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh to themselves.

so that I may declare all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion; I will rejoice in Your salvation.

As one removing a garment in a cold day, and as vinegar on soda, so a singer with songs on a bad heart.

And ones being ransomed of Jehovah shall return and enter Zion with a ringing cry of joy. and with everlasting joy on their head; gladness and joy shall reach them, and sorrow and sighing shall flee.

Yea, the ransomed of Jehovah shall return and come to Zion with singing, and everlasting joy shall be on their head; gladness and joy shall overtake them; sorrow and sighing shall flee.

Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of a forest.

And I will give Jerusalem to be a heap of ruins, a den of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, not [one] living in it.

Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.

As to these things that you see, days will come in which a stone will not be left on a stone, which will not be thrown down.
