Let the proud be ashamed, for with lies they perverted me; I will muse on Your precepts.

For what credit is it if sinning and being hit by the fist, you patiently endure? But if you are suffering while doing good, and patiently endure, this is a grace from God.

But that may be fulfilled the Word that has been written in their Law, “They hated Me undeservedly. Psalms 69:4

The proud have scorned me utterly; I have not veered from Your Law.

Princes also sat, speaking against me; but Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

Yea, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those who act deceitfully be ashamed.

And the proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up. And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall burn up everything round about him.

You have rebuked the proud, the cursed ones who go astray from Your commands.

And they circled me in with words of hatred; and they fought against me without a cause.

Those hating me without cause are more than the hairs of my head; they willing to put an end to me are mighty, my lying enemies; then I bring back what I did not take away.

Let them be ashamed and be confounded together, the ones who rejoice at my evil; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor, the ones who magnify themselves against me.

For they have hidden their pit-net for me without cause; without cause they have dug for my soul.

But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah, and he meditates in His Law day and night.

And he said, Why is this, that my lord is pursuing after his servant? For what have I done, and what in my hand is evil?

And he said to David, You are a righteous one more than I. For you have rewarded me as with a good one, and I have rewarded you as with an evil one.

I will meditate in Your precepts and I will regard Your paths.
