Distress and anguish have found me; Your commands are my delight.

and I have not departed from the command of His lips; I treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion.

The cords of death encompassed me; and the straits of Sheol found me; I found distress and sorrow;

I am afflicted very much; O Jehovah, give me life according to Your Word.

I will delight myself in Your statutes. I will not forget Your Word.

And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I have loved.

Let Your mercies come to me that I may live; for Your Law is my delight.

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have called You, O Jehovah.
