I am small and despised; I do not forget Your precepts.

My life is in my palm continually, yet I do not forget Your Law.

I will delight myself in Your statutes. I will not forget Your Word.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your commandments.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of mankind, and despised by the people.

But I am a poor and needy one; the Lord will take thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay.

Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah than great treasure and tumult with it.

Better is a little with righteousness than great increase without justice.

One being poor who walks in his integrity is better than a perverted one in his lips, and is a fool.

My son, do not forget My law, but let your heart guard My commands,

He is despised and abandoned of men, a Man of pains, and known of sickness, and as hiding our faces from Him, He being despised, and we did not value Him.

And lifting up His eyes to His disciples, He said: Blessed are the poor ones, for the kingdom of God is yours.

And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere He may lay His head.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor ones of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?
