And He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the majesty, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between the two of them.
God is not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? And has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
Therefore, indeed, if perfection was through the Levitical priestly office (for the people had been given Law under it), why yet was there need for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek and not to be called according to the order of Aaron?)
for the ones trulywithout oath-taking are become priests, but He with oathtaking, through the One saying to Him, The Lord swore, and will not care to change, “You are a priest unto the age according to the order of Melchizedek”; Psalm 110:4
For the Law makes men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the oath-taking after the Law appoints the Son having been perfected unto the age.
