And it happened, when he began to reign, as he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasha; he did not leave him one who urinated against the wall, nor of his kinsmen, nor of his friends.
So says Jehovah, Write this man childless, a man who will not prosper in his days, for not one from his seed will prosper, a man sitting on the throne of David and ruling any more in Judah.
And it shall be, when Jehovah your God gives you rest from all your enemies round about in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you as an inheritance to possess it, you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens; you shall not forget.
Jehovah will not be willing to forgive him, for then Jehovah’s anger and His zeal shall smoke, and His zeal shall be against that man, and all the curses written in this book shall lie upon him. And Jehovah shall blot out his name from under the heavens.
And I declare to him that I am judging his house forever, for the iniquity which he has known; for his sons have been making themselves vile, and he has not restrained them.
