Psalm 101:5

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will cut him off; I will not endure him who has high eyes and a proud heart.

He does not go about slandering with his tongue, and does not do evil to his friend, and does not lift up a reproach against his neighbor.

for You will save an afflicted people; but You will bring low haughty eyes.

You sit; you speak against your brother; you charge the son of your mother.

You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.

You shall not utter a false report; You shall not put your hand with the wicked one, to become a violent witness.

One covering hating with lying lips, and sending out slander, he is a fool.

A revealer of a secret walks about as a gossip, so do not meddle with him who opens his lips.

High eyes, a proud heart, and the fallow ground of the wicked ones, is sin.

The north wind brings forth rain, so one becomes angrily indignant by a tongue of secrecy.

There is a generation, Oh how high are its eyes, and its eyelids are lifted up;

The haughtiness of eyes of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be bowed down; but Jehovah, He alone, will be exalted in that day.

In you are men of slander in order to pour out blood, and in you they eat on the mountains. In your midst they do unchaste acts.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

You shall not go as a slanderer among your people; you shall not stand up against the blood of your neighbor; I am Jehovah.

I say to you, This one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

But now I wrote to you not to associate intimately; if anyone being named a brother and is either a fornicator, or a covetous one, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a rapacious one, with such a one not to eat.

Likewise, their wives are to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

Do not multiply your haughty words; let not arrogance go out from your mouth; for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
