I will not set a worthless thing before my eyes; I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not fasten upon me.

Turn my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.

I made a covenant with my eyes, and how could I look intently on a virgin?

Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, and do not let her take you with her eyelids,

But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Blessed is the man who sets Jehovah as his trust, and does not turn to the proud ones, or to those who turn to a lie.

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his slave-girl, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which belongs to your neighbor.

Beware that there is no evil thing in your heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release draws near; and your eye be evil against your needy brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to Jehovah against you and it be sin to you.

For it was better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness than fully knowing it to turn from the holy commandment having been given over to them.

But now, knowing God, but rather being known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and poor elements to which again you desire to be a slave anew?

Let love be without hypocrisy, shrinking from the evil, cleaving to the good,

But your eyes and your heart lust for nothing but your unjust gain, and to shed innocent blood, and injury, and to do oppression.

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the soul. This is also vanity and striving after wind.

And you shall be very strong to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the Law of Moses, so as not to turn aside from it to the right or to the left;

But we are not of a drawing back to destruction, but of faith, to the preservation of the soul.

SAMECH: I hate halfhearted ones; but I love Your Law.

Turn aside from the way; stretch from the path; cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

To the chief musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will keep my ways from sinning with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked one is before me.

And those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah shall lead them forth with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

You who love Jehovah, hate evil. He keeps the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked ones

but they turned back and betrayed, like their fathers; they veered aside like a deceitful bow.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he ceases to act wisely, to do good.

I repent that I made Saul reign as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and he has not risen to do My words. And Samuel was angry, and he cried to Jehovah all night.

A worthless man, an evil man, walks with crookedness of mouth,

winking with his eyes, speaking with his feet, teaching with his fingers.

The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

and let each man devise no evil in your heart against his neighbor, and do not love a false oath. For all these I hate, a statement of Jehovah.
