For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

Have all doers of iniquity not known, eating My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Jehovah.

From the fruit of his mouth a man eats good, but the soul of those betraying eats violence.

Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as with ropes of a cart;

Woe to those who say to an evil thing, a good thing; and to a good thing, an evil thing; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put a bitter thing for a sweet thing, and a sweet thing for a bitter thing!

Let every man be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother. For supplanting every brother will supplant, and every neighbor will go about as one slandering.

So says Jehovah concerning the prophets, those causing My people to err, those biting with their teeth and they call out, Peace! And whoever does not give for their mouth, they even sanctify a war against him.

Whose rich ones are full of violence, and ones living in her speak a lie, and their tongue is deceit in their mouth.

Both palms are on evil, to do it well. The ruler is asking for a bribe, also the judge. And the great man speaks the lust of his soul; he acts, and they weave it together.

Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they do not gnaw bones for the morning.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in.
