A man of anger stirs up contention, and a master of fury abounds in transgression.

Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel. I will divide them in Jacob, and I will scatter them in Israel.

Hating stirs up strifes, but love covers all transgressions.

He who is short of temper acts foolishly; and a man of evil plots is hated.

A man of fury stirs up strife, but one long to anger calms fighting.

He loving strife loves transgression; he exalting his entrance seeks a breaking in.

Do not feed with a lord of anger, and do not go in with a man of fury,

As coal to burning embers, and wood to fire, so is a man of strife to kindle contention.

Iron on iron sharpens, and a man sharpens the face of his friend.

He treating his servant delicately from youth, even afterwards in his days he shall be his heir.

Surely the squeezing of milk brings curds, and the squeezing of the nose brings blood, so the squeezing of wrath brings out strife.

For where jealousy and contention are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
