Proverbs 27:11

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

My son, become wise and give joy to my heart, so that I may return a word to one taunting me.

And I will answer a word to one who reproaches me; for I trust in Your Word.

And now be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth:

The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes a father rejoice, but a son who is a fool is a mother’s sorrow.

A wise son makes a glad father, but a man who is a fool despises his mother.

The lazy one is wiser in his own eyes than seven that return a wise judgment.

A prudent one sees the evil and hides himself; ones of simplicity go on and are punished.

A man who loves wisdom gladdens his father, but one feeding ones doing adultery wastes wealth.

For we have much joy and encouragement over your love, in that the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

I rejoiced greatly because I found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
