Answer a fool according to his foolishness, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Answer not a fool according to his foolishness, lest you become like him, even you.

He sending messages by a fool’s hand cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.

A rich man is wise in his own eyes, but the discerning poor one examines him.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Jehovah and turn from evil.

Woe to the wise ones in their own eyes, and discerning in their own faces!
