and your poverty comes walking about, and your lack like a man with a shield.

He who works with a lazy palm will be lacking, but the hand of the diligent one makes to become rich.

A sluggish one’s soul is craving, but having nothing, but the soul of the diligent ones shall be made fat.

And he who is slack in his work, he is a brother to a master of destruction.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down,

Also these are the proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah handed forward:

He who works his ground shall have plenty of bread, but one pursuing vanities shall be sated with poverty.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lie down;

so shall your poverty come as one walking about, and your need like a man of a shield.
