You have sent widows away empty, and have crushed the arms of orphans.

They seize the orphan from the breast, and lay a pledge on afflicted ones.

Yea, you cause even an orphan to fall; and you bargain over your friend.

They kill the widow and the sojourner, and they murder the orphan.

You shall not afflict an orphan or a widow.

Jehovah will pull down the house of the proud ones, but He will set up the widow’s border.

Do not move the old landmark which your fathers have set.

So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one plundered from the hand of the oppressing one. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence and not shed innocent blood in this place.

For if amending you amend your ways and your doings; if you truly practice justice between a man and his neighbor;

if you do not oppress the sojourner, the orphan, and the widow; and do not pour out innocent blood in this place, and do not go after other gods to your evil;

And do not oppress the widow, and the fatherless, the alien, or the afflicted one. And do not devise evil in your heart, of a man against his brother.

And I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against those divining, and against ones doing adultery, and against those swearing to a lie; and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s pay; and turning away the widow, and the fatherless, and the sojourner, and the one not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which those formerly have set in your inheritance, which you shall inherit in the land which Jehovah your God is giving you, to possess it.

Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark! And all the people shall say, Amen!

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself without blemish from the world.
