Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked one, he guarding his soul shall be far from them.

He shall rain snares on the wicked one; fire and brimstone and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.

Good prudence gives grace, but the way of those betraying is ever flowing.

He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, ruin is to him.

The way of the lazy one is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright ones is lifted up.

The way of the upright one is to turn aside from evil ways; he keeping his soul watches his way.

One keeping the commandment keeps his own soul; he who despises His ways shall die.

The reward of humility is the fear of Jehovah, riches, and honor, and life.

An evil man is a snare by transgression, but the righteous ones sing and rejoice.

The way of the wicked ones is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

know certainly that Jehovah your God shall not continue to dispossess these nations from before you, and they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land which Jehovah your God has given you.

We know that every one having been generated from God does not sin, but the one being generated from God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
