One gaining unjust gain troubles his own house, but one hating bribes shall live.

So are the ways of everyone who gains unjust gain; it takes away its owner’s soul.

And you shall not take a bribe, for the bribe blinds the seeing ones, and it perverts the words of the righteous ones.

As a partridge broods and does not hatch, so is he who makes riches, and not with justice; it will leave him in the midst of his days, and at his end he will be a foolish one.

One troubling his house inherits the wind; and the foolish one is servant to the wise of heart.

You shall not pervert judgment. You shall not regard faces, and you shall not take a bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous ones.

And you, you shall look on men of ability out of all the people, who fear God, men of truth, hating unjust gain. And you place these over them as rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

A king establishes a land by judgment, but a man taking bribes tears it down.

The ruler that lacks understanding even adds extortionate deeds, but one hating unjust gain prolongs his days.

An inheritance may be gotten hastily in the beginning, but the end of it shall not be blessed.

As righteousness is to life, even the evil one is pursuing to his death.

Yea, the leprosy of Naaman shall cleave to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from him as leprous as snow.

And you shall certainly keep clear of the devoted things, that you not become accursed by taking from the devoted things, and shall make the camp of Israel become devoted, and trouble it.

And you shall not bring a disgusting thing into your house, that you not be a cursed thing like it. Detesting you shall detest it, and loathing you shall loathe it; for it is a cursed thing.

But the ones purposing to be rich fall into temptation, and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a root of all evils, by means of which some stretching toward it were led astray from the faith, and they themselves pierced through by many pains.

Behold, I am here! Testify against me before Jehovah and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, and whose ass have I taken, and whom have I oppressed? Whom have I crushed, and from whose hand have I taken a bribe that I might hide my eyes with it; and I will give back to you.

The thoughts of the evil one are disgusting things to Jehovah, but the sayings of pleasantness are pure.

Do not labor to become rich; cease from your own understanding.

The proud in soul stirs up strife, but he who is trusting on Jehovah shall be made fat.

And Shimei rose up and saddled his ass and went to Gath, to Achish, to seek his servants. And Shimei went and brought his servants from Gath.

He has not given his silver at interest, and not has taken a bribe against the innocent one; he who does these things shall not be shaken forever.
