One long to anger is better than the mighty one, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

For a man to cease from strife is an honor, but every foolish one lays himself bare.

Do not feed with a lord of anger, and do not go in with a man of fury,

A man of anger stirs up contention, and a master of fury abounds in transgression.

a heart that devises iniquity, feet hurrying to run to evil things,

Do not hasten to be angry in your spirit; for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

And the miser’s weapons are evil; he counsels wicked plots to destroy the poor ones with lying words, even the needy ones when he speaks justice.

So that, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
