A sluggish one’s soul is craving, but having nothing, but the soul of the diligent ones shall be made fat.

The hand of the diligent ones shall rule, but one of laziness will become forced labor.

He who works his land shall be satisfied with bread, but he chasing vanities lacks heart.

He who works with a lazy palm will be lacking, but the hand of the diligent one makes to become rich.

The soul of blessing will be made fat; he drinking to his fill will also be taught.

The proud in soul stirs up strife, but he who is trusting on Jehovah shall be made fat.

But we desire each of you to show the same diligence, to the full assurance of the hope to the end;

Do not work for the food, the one perishing, but for the food, the one enduring to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for God the Father sealed Him.

Blessed is the man listening to Me, watching day by day at My gates, guarding at the posts of My doors.

And Jehovah shall always guide you, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of waters which do not prove to be deceiving.

The lazy one says, A lion is in the way, a lion is between the open places!

They shall bear fruit in old age; they shall be fat and fresh,

Who can count Jacob’s dust, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

Go to the ant, lazy man; see her ways and be wise;

The one of laziness does not start after his prey, but the wealth of a diligent man is precious.

He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, ruin is to him.

The righteous one hates a word of falsehood, but the wicked one is odious and acts shamefully.

The lazy one will not plow, after autumn he begs at harvest, and nothing is there.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty, but those of every one being hasty only to poverty.

The lust of the lazy man kills him, for his hands have refused to work.

And it happened on that day Isaac’s slaves came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, We found water.

And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Do not let all the people go up. Let about two thousand men, or three thousand men, go up, and they shall strike Ai. Do not cause all the people to labor there, for they are few.

I passed over the field of the lazy man, and by the vineyard of the man lacking heart,

and, behold, all of it was going up with thistles; nettles had covered its surface, and its stone wall was broken down.

I have stripped off My coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed My feet; how shall I make them unclean?
