The law of the wise one is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
The cords of death encompassed me; and the straits of Sheol found me; I found distress and sorrow;
cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.
The mouth of the righteous one is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked one covers violence.
The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn aside from snares of death.
The path of life is upward to the prudent one, that he may turn away from Sheol below.
The way of the upright one is to turn aside from evil ways; he keeping his soul watches his way.
Prudence is a fountain of life to its owners, but the correction of foolish ones is folly.
Iniquity is covered by mercy and truth, and in the fear of Jehovah men turn aside from evil ways.
For by Me your days shall increase and shall be added to you the years of life.
And blessed is your discernment. And blessed are you in that you have kept me from coming in with blood this day, and from delivering myself with my own hand.
