So yearning over you, we were wellpleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls, because you had become beloved to us.

longing to see you, being reminded of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,

Even receive him, that is, my heart;

Yes, brother, that I may have your help in the Lord, refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
