because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah, in the courts, and in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of God’s house,
and that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the Holy Place, and the charge of Aaron’s sons, their brothers, in the service of the house of Jehovah.
And they raised up the priests in their sections, and the Levites in their divisions, for the service of God which is in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.
And, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel to the sons of Levi for an inheritance, in return for their service which they are serving, the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And the camp of the Levites, with the tabernacle of the congregation, shall pull out in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so they shall pull out, each man in his place, by their standards.
At that time Jehovah separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant before Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah and to minister to Him, and to bless in His name, until today.
