who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, so that the congregation of Jehovah may not be as sheep to whom there is no shepherd to them.

Both yesterday and the day before, when Saul was king over us, you were he who led out and brought in Israel. And Jehovah said to you, You shall shepherd My people Israel, and you shall be for a leader over Israel.

And he said, I have seen all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep that there is no shepherd to them. And Jehovah said, No lords are to these; they shall each man return to his house in peace.

And now, O Jehovah my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David. And I am a little boy; I do not know to go out and to come in.

And you shall fully surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand. And he that comes within the ranks shall be made to die. And you shall be with the king as he goes in and goes out.

Now give to me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this Your great people?

And he said, I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep with no shepherd for them; and Jehovah said, For these, no master. Let them return, each man to his own house in peace.

And they were scattered for lack of a shepherd. And they became food to all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.

For the family idols speak iniquity, and the divining ones have seen a lie and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore they pulled up stakes like a flock; they were afflicted because there was no shepherd.

O sword, awake against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My Associate, a statement of Jehovah of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn My hand on the little ones.

But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And seeing the crowds, He was moved with pity concerning them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

And going out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and had compassion on them, because “they were as sheep having no shepherd.” And He began to teach them many things. Num. 27:17; Eze. 34:5

I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in, and will go out, and will find pasture.

And he said to them, I am a hundred and twenty years old today. I am not able any more to go out and to come in. And Jehovah has said to me, You shall not cross over this Jordan.

For you were “straying sheep,” Isa. 53:4-6 but now you are turned back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

And Saul removed him from himself and set him as his commander over a thousand. And he went out and came in before the people.

And we shall be, even we, like all the nations. And our king shall judge us and shall go out before us and fight our battles.
