And Balaam saw that it pleased Jehovah to bless Israel, and he did not go, as at other times, to seek spells. And he set his face toward the wilderness.
And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian left with the rewards of the seer in their hand. And they came to Balaam and spoke the words of Balak to him.
And Balaam said to Balak, Station yourself by your burnt offering, and I will go on; it may be that Jehovah will come to meet me, and I will declare to you the things which He reveals to me. And he went to a high place.
