Numbers 16:5

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And he spoke to Korah, and to all his company, saying, In the morning Jehovah will know who are His, and him who is holy, and shall cause him to come near Him; even him whom He may choose, He will cause to come near to Him.

He sent His servant Moses and Aaron whom He had chosen.

O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah; He is their help and their shield.

Blessed is the one You elect and cause to come near You; he shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

And you shall take to yourself your brother Aaron, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, for him to serve as priest to Me; Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron.

And you shall clothe your brother Aaron with them, and his sons with him; and you shall anoint them, and you shall consecrate them, and you shall sanctify them. And they shall minister as priests to Me.

And they shall be on Aaron and on his sons in their going into the tabernacle of the congregation, or in their drawing near to the altar to minister in the sanctuary, and so that they shall not raise up iniquity and die. It is a never-ending statute to him and to his seed after him.

And his leader shall be from him, and his ruler shall come forth from his midst. And I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach Me. For who is he who gives his heart in pledge to come near to Me, a statement of Jehovah?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of Jordan against the home of the strong. But I will suddenly made him run away from it, and who is the chosen one I shall appoint over it? For who is like Me? And who will summon Me? And who then is that shepherd who will stand before Me?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of Jordan against the perpetual abode. But I will make them suddenly run away from it. And who is a chosen one I will appoint over it? For who is like Me? And who will summon Me? And who is this shepherd who will stand before Me?

And the room facing northward is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar. They are the sons of Zadok who come near to Jehovah, of the sons of Levi, to minister to Him.

And you shall give to the priests of the Levites (they who are from the seed of Zadok, who approach to Me) a statement of the Lord Jehovah, to minister to Me, a bull, a son of the herd, for a sin offering.

It is the holy portion of the land for the priests, it shall be for those ministering in the sanctuary who come near to minister to Jehovah. And it shall be for them a place for their houses, and a holy place for the sanctuary.

And Moses said to Aaron, It is that which Jehovah has spoken, saying, I will be sanctified by those drawing near to Me; and I will be honored before all the people. And Aaron was silent.

Take Aaron, and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened things,

Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous one and the wicked one, between him who serves God and him who does not serve Him.

And they were assembled against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take too much! For all the congregation, all of them are holy, and Jehovah is among them. Why then do you lift up yourselves above the assembly of Jehovah?

Do this: take fire-pans for yourselves, Korah, and all his company,

And it shall be that the man’s rod which I choose shall blossom. And I shall cause the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you, to cease from Me.

And it happened on the next day, Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony, and, behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and put forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

You have not chosen Me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you may ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He had chosen, through the Holy Spirit,

And having prayed, they said, You, Lord, knower of all hearts, show which one You chose from these two,

And they doing service to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Now separate both Barnabas and Saul to Me, for the work to which I have called them.

And much discussion having occurred, rising up Peter said to them: Men, brothers, you recognize that from ancient days, God chose among us that through my mouth the nations should hear the Word of the gospel, and to believe.

And he said, The God of our fathers has beforehand chosen you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth;

But now, in Christ Jesus you who then were afar off, came to be near by the blood of Christ.

However, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, “The Lord knows the ones being His.” Also, Let every one naming the name of Christ stand away from unrighteousness.

Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord,

and made us kings and priests to God, even His Father. To Him is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest to Me, to go up on My altar, to cause incense to smoke, to bear an ephod before Me? And did I give to your father’s house all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?
