Say to them, As I live, a statement of Jehovah, as surely as you have spoken in My ears, so I will do to you.

and He lifted up His hand to them, to make them fall in the wilderness;

to whom I swore in My anger, They shall not enter into My rest.

For I, Jehovah, will speak. The Word which I shall speak shall be done, it shall not be drawn out again. For in your days, O house of rebellion, I will say the Word and will do it, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

And the people were evil, as those complaining in the ears of Jehovah was hot, and the fire of Jehovah burned among them and devoured in the extreme edge of the camp.

And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron. And all the congregation said to them, Oh that we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness, oh that we had died!

but as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Jehovah;

they shall not see the land which I have sworn to their fathers. Yea, not one of those scorning Me shall see it.

And Moses told these words to all the sons of Israel; and the people mourned deeply.

Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob because they have not wholly followed Me;

And Jehovah heard the sound of your words and was angry, and swore, saying,

Not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land which I have sworn to give to your fathers,

And the days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we had crossed over the torrent Zered, were thirty-eight years, until the end of all the generation, even the men of war were destroyed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah swore to them.

And the hand of Jehovah was also against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.

For I lift up My hand to the heavens and say, I live forever!

But with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with the ones sinning, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
