Numbers 1:53

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

But the Levites shall encamp around the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath on the congregation of the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.

So Jehovah of Hosts says this concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them wormwood, and make them drink poisonous water, for ungodliness has gone forth from the prophets of Jerusalem into all the land.

the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their hands; and My people love it so, and what will they do at the end of it?

And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar, and to Ithamar, his sons, You shall not uncover your heads and you shall not tear your garments, that you may not die, and He be angry on all the congregation. As to your brothers, the whole house of Israel, they shall mourn the burning which Jehovah has kindled.

But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furniture, and over all which is to it. They shall lift up the tabernacle, and all its furniture. And they shall serve it, and shall encamp around the tabernacle.

And the sons of Israel did according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so they did.

And Moses said to Aaron, Take the firepan, and put fire on it from the altar, and lay on incense, and go, hurry to the congregation, and atone for them, for the wrath has gone out from the presence of Jehovah; the plague has begun.

is it but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Jehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?

And Moses placed the rods before Jehovah, in the tabernacle of the testimony.

And the camp of the Levites, with the tabernacle of the congregation, shall pull out in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so they shall pull out, each man in his place, by their standards.

The families of the Gershonites were to pitch behind the tabernacle westward.

The families of the sons of Kohath were to encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward;

The ruler of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They were to pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward.

And those that were to encamp before the tabernacle eastward, before the tabernacle of the congregation, toward the sunrising, were Moses, and Aaron, and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Israel. And the stranger who goes near shall die.

And from the sons of Israel’s half, you shall take one portion out of fifty, of man, and of the herd, and of the asses, and of the flock, of all the livestock, and you shall give them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.

Moses took from the sons of Israel’s half the one portion from the fifty of man and of animal. And he gave them to the Levites keeping the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

And I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and to his sons from the midst of the sons of Israel to serve in the service of the sons of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to atone for the sons of Israel, and there shall not be a plague for the sons of Israel through the sons of Israel’s drawing near to the sanctuary.

preach the Word, stand by seasonably, unseasonably, convict, warn, encourage with all long-suffering and teaching.

And He struck among the men of Beth-shemish, because they looked into the ark of Jehovah. Yea, He struck seventy among the people, fifty out of a thousand men. And the people mourned because Jehovah destroyed among the people with a great slaughter.
