and from above the Ephraim Gate, and above the Old Gate, and above the Fish Gate, and the Tower of Hananeel, and the Tower of Meah, even to the Sheep Gate. And they stood still in the Prison Gate.

And Amaziah the king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, was captured by Jehoash the king of Israel in Bethshemesh. And they came in to Jerusalem, and he broke through the wall of Jerusalem at the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.

And the two thanksgiving choirs stood in the house of God, and I, and half of the rulers with me.

And Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests. And they built the Sheep Gate. They sanctified it and made stand its doors. Even to the Tower of Meah they sanctified it, to the Tower of Hananeel.

Palal the son of Uzai made strong across from the corner, and the tower which sticks out from the king’s high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made strong.

But the sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate, who laid its beams, and made stand its doors, its locks and its bars.

And the Old Gate was made strong by Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah. They laid its beams, and made stand its doors, and its locks, and its bars.

And the people went out and brought in, and made booths for themselves, a man on his roof and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the plaza of the Water Gate, and in the plaza of the Ephraim Gate.

Behold, the days come, a statement of Jehovah, that the city will be built to Jehovah, from the Tower of Hananeel to the Corner Gate.

For then the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem. And Jeremiah the prophet was shut in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.

And it shall be in that day, a statement of Jehovah, the sound of a cry from the Fish Gate, and a howling from the Second, and a great breaking from the hills.

And in Jerusalem is a pool at the Sheep Gate, the one called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
