Nehemiah 12:27

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites out of all their places to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, and with thanksgiving, and with singing, with cymbals, harps, and with lyres.

And it was told to King David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obededom and all that is his, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom to the city of David with joy.

and Solomon offered the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he had offered to Jehovah: twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep; and the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Jehovah.

And David and all Israel were playing before God with all their might, and with songs, and with lyres, and with harps, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

and said to them, You are the heads of your fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and you shall bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it.

And David commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and sounding cymbals, to lift up the voice for joy.

And all Israel was bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a rams’ horn, and with trumpets, and cymbals, sounding aloud with lyres and harps.

And David gathered the sons of Aaron and the Levites.

and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those making a sound, and instruments of the song of God; and the sons of Jeduthun were at the gate.

Asaph the head, and Zechariah his second; Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres; and Asaph was sounding with the cymbals.

And they were as one to the trumpeters, and to the singers to cause one sound to be heard to praise and to thank Jehovah. And when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised Jehovah, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endures forever; and a cloud filled the house, the house of Jehovah;

And the priests were standing over their charges, and the Levites with instruments of music to Jehovah, that David the king had made to give thanks to Jehovah (for His mercy endures forever) when David praised by their hand; and the priests were blowing trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

And the sons of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the sons of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.

And the rest of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, a man in his inheritance.

And that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced. For God had made them rejoice with great joy. And the wives, and the children rejoiced so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even at a distance.

And all the assembly, those who returned out of the captivity, made booths, and sat under the booths. For since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day, the sons of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.

Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praise to Him with the timbrel and lyre.

A Psalm; a Song of Dedication of the House of David. I will exalt You, O Jehovah; for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to rejoice over me.

And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, you and your son, and your daughter, and your male slave, and your slave-girl, and the Levite that is inside your gates, and the alien, and the fatherless, and the widow, all that are among you, in the place which Jehovah your God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there.

And the officers shall speak to the people, saying, Who is the man that has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, that he not die in battle and another man dedicate it.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice!

And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps, and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.
