But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.

And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and I may go after you. And he said to him, Go back; for what have I done to you?

And another of His disciples said to Him, Lord, allow me first to go away and bury my father.

And passing from there, Jesus saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me. And rising up, he followed Him.

And passing on, He saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me. And rising up, he followed Him.

for this son of mine was dead, and lived again, and was lost, and was found. And they began to be merry.

But to be merry and it was right to rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead, and lived again; and being lost, also he was found.

But Jesus said to him, Leave the dead to bury their dead, but going out, you announce the kingdom of God.

On the next day, Jesus desired to go out into Galilee. And He finds Philip, and says to him, Follow Me!

But He said this signifying by what death he would glorify God. And having said this, He says him, Follow Me.

Jesus says to him, If I desire him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.

and you being dead in deviations and sins,

even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ; by grace you are having been saved,

Therefore He says, “Rise up, the one sleeping, and stand up out of the dead ones, and Christ will shine on you.” No O. T. passage

And you, being a dead one in the deviations and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made alive together with Him, having remitted all your deviations,

But the one living for self-pleasure has died while living.
