Then Jesus arrives from Galilee to the Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him.
But hearing that Archelaus reigned over Judea in place of his father Herod, he feared to go there. And being warned by a dream, he departed into the parts of Galilee.
But John restrained Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?
and were baptized by him in the Jordan, having confessed their sins.
And I did not know Him; but that He might be revealed to Israel; on account of this I came baptizing in water.
