To the Chief Musician, on the deer of the dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me, and are far from My deliverance, from the words of My groaning?
But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick, so that if He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days; and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.
Is it nothing to you, all who pass by? Behold, and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow which is done to me, with which Jehovah has afflicted me in the day of His burning anger.
