And they had then a notable prisoner being called Barabbas.
And at a feast, the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner to the crowd, whom they wished.
Therefore they, having been assembled, Pilate said to them, Whom do you wish I may release to you, Barabbas, or Jesus being called Christ?
And there was one called Barabbas, having been bound with the fellow-insurrectionists, who all in the insurrection had committed murder.
And he released to them the one having been thrown into prison due to revolt and murder, for whom they asked. But he gave over Jesus to their will.
Then all cried out again, saying, Not this one, but Barabbas! But Barabbas was a plunderer.
But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a man, a murderer, to be granted to you.
who having known the ordinance of God, that the ones practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve the ones practicing them.
