A brother cannot at all redeem a man, and not can give to God a ransom for him,

But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His wounds we ourselves are healed.

He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall consider His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; from the transgression of My people, the stroke was to Him.

Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life on behalf of the sheep.

who was given over on account of our deviations, and was raised on account of our justification.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, “Accursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” Deut. 21:23

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of deviations, according to the riches of His grace

and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a fragrance of a sweet smell.

the One having given Himself a ransom on behalf of all, the testimony to be given in its own time,

who gave Himself on our behalf, “that He might redeem us from all lawlessness” “and purify” “for Himself a people for Himself for possession,” zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

For it was fitting for Him, because of whom are all things, and through whom are all things, bringing many sons into glory, to make complete Him as the Author of their salvation through sufferings.

though being a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered,

so Christ having been once offered “to bear the sins of many,” Christ shall appear a second time without sin to the ones eagerly awaiting Him unto salvation. Isa. 53:12

who “Himself carried up in His body our sins” onto the tree; that having died to sins, we might live to righteousness; of whom “by His wound you were healed.”

Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the Just One on behalf of the unjust ones, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the Spirit;

And He Himself is the propitiation concerning our sins, and not concerning ours only, but also concerning the whole world.

even from Jesus Christ the faithful Witness, the First-begotten out of the dead ones, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the One loving us and having washed us from our sins by His blood,
