Surely a man walks about in shadow; surely they are in an uproar in vain; he heaps up and does not know who is gathering them.

Surely I have purified my heart in vain; and I have washed my palms in innocence.

through which you also are being saved, if you hold fast the Word which I preached to you, except if not you believed in vain.

All the things that I command you, take heed to do them, and you shall not add to it and not take away from it.

nor to pay attention to myths and to endless genealogies, which provide questionings, rather than a stewardship of God, the one being in faith,

not listening to Jewish myths and commandments of men, having turned away from the truth.

Do not be carried away by various and strange doctrine; for it is good that the heart be confirmed by grace, not by foods, in which those walking in them were not profited.

But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

For I testify together with every one hearing the words of the prophecy of this Book, if anyone adds to these things, God will add upon him the plagues having been written in this Book.

And David had said, Surely, in vain I have guarded all that belongs to this man in the wilderness so that not anything was missed of all that was his; and he has returned to me evil for good.
