But what did you go out to see? A man being clothed in soft garments? Behold, those wearing soft things are in the houses of kings.

And it shall be in that day, the prophets shall be ashamed, each man of his vision when he prophesies, and they shall not wear a hairy garment to deceive.

But as these were going, Jesus began to say to the crowds about John, What did you go out into the wilderness to behold? A reed being shaken with the wind?

But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet.

And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey.

But what did you go out to see? A man being dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those in splendid clothing and being in luxury are in royal palaces.

Until the present hour we also hunger and thirst, and are poorly clothed, and are buffeted, and wander homeless,

in hardship and toil, in sleepless nights many times, in hunger and thirst, in fastings many times, in cold and nakedness.

The man who is tender and very delicate among you, his eye shall be evil against his brother, and against the wife of his bosom, and against the remnant of his sons which he leaves,

And I will give to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, having been clothed in sackcloth.
