Should we give, or should we not give? But knowing their hypocrisy, He said to them, Why do you tempt Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see.

Son of man, put forth a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel.

And agreeing with the workers for a denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.

But knowing their wickedness, Jesus said, Why do you test Me, hypocrites?

And coming near, the Pharisees asked Him if it is lawful for a man to dismiss a wife, testing Him.

And coming, they said to Him, Teacher, we know that You are true, and there is not a care to You about anyone, for You do not look to the face of men, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

And they brought one. And He said to them, Whose image and inscription is this? And they said to Him, Caesar’s.

But perceiving their slyness, He said to them, Why do you tempt Me?

He says to him a third time, Simon son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved that He said to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to him, Lord, You perceive all things, You know that I love You! Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep!

But they said this, testing Him, that they may have reason to accuse Him. But bending down, Jesus was writing with the finger in the earth, not appearing to hear.

And Peter said to her, Why was it that it was agreed with you to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of the ones burying your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.

Neither over-tempt the Christ, as some of them tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.

and there is no creature unrevealed before Him; but all things are naked and having been laid open to His eyes, with whom is our account.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the assemblies will know that I am the One searching the kidneys and hearts. And I will give to you, each one, according to your works.
