And seeing one fig tree by the road, He went up to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He said to it, Let there be no more fruit from you forever. And the fig tree immediately dried up.
Hear another parable: There was a certain man, a house master, who planted a vineyard and placed a hedge around it; and he dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. And he rented it to vinedressers and went abroad Isa. 5:1, 2
And seeing afar off a fig tree having leaves, He went toward it, if perhaps He would find anything on it. And coming on it, He found nothing except leaves, for it was not the season of figs.
And they came to Jerusalem. And entering into the temple, Jesus began to throw out those selling and buying in the temple; also He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling the doves.
For if by a recognition of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, having escaped the defilements of the world, and again being entangled they are overcome by these, then the last things of them have become worse than the first.
The one acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly; and the filthy one, let him still be filthy; and the righteous one, let him still do righteousness; and the holy one, let him still be holy.
