And rising up from there, He came into the borders of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds came together to Him, and as He usually did, He again was teaching them.
And they have turned the back to Me, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.
In that hour, Jesus said to the crowds, Did you come out to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a plunderer? I sat with you according to a day teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me.
And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
And a sabbath having come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And hearing, many were astonished, saying, From where came these things to this One? And what is the wisdom given to Him, that even such works of power are occurring through His hands?
And going out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and had compassion on them, because “they were as sheep having no shepherd.” And He began to teach them many things. Num. 27:17; Eze. 34:5
Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple where the Jews always come together, and I spoke nothing in secret.
